The Garden Grove Community Center: http://www.ci.garden-grove.ca.us/ was the lovely venue hosting the 2nd annual Luncheon for Grandma's House of Hope. http://www.grandmashouseofhope.org/ on Sat. Sept. 13,2008.
An elegant high tea, a tremendous Silent Action and live auction presented many opportunity's to help this viable cause. There are three different services offered by this non- profit organization. Paloma House for women who have survived domestic violence, is a 17 bed facility.
Grandmas Room is a program designed to benefit seniors and "Nana's Kidz" helps to support countless children, many of whom survive on the daily school lunches alone. Nana's Kidz provides much needed meals to those same children when school is not in session.
Each one is a noble cause. I played harp with my long time friend and flute player who donated our time for this worthwhile cause.
