Canyon Crest Country Club, Riverside 7-25-2008

Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce member: Canyon Crest Country Club, offers a regular Friday evening dinner for their members. I play there about once every other month or so, for a anniversary/birthday dinner. The fine dining room is gorgeous and I'm sorry that I forgot to bring along my camera. The guests enjoy sumptuous gourmet cuisine, champagne, and a lovely special dessert. This private club is celebrating their 40th anniversary, and is thriving , even during this economy. I am very pleased to be referred by this lovely venue. http://www.clubcorp.com/

Magnolia Baptist Church 7-19-2008

Magnolia Baptist Church located in Riverside, was the location for a lovely memorial service, Saturday 7-19-2008. I have not played at this venue since the Praise Symphony Orchestra days many, many years ago. http://www.praisesymphony.org

The sanctuary is gorgeous and the service was well attended. The harp had a microphone on it with just a touch of re-verb, and due to logistical problems prior to the service, I played a full one hour prelude. The sound system was awesome, the harp perfectly in tune and I thought it sounded rather nice, if I do say so myself.

Franciscan Gardens 7-12-2008

Lovely Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano hosted this gorgeous wedding on July 12. The weather was perfect, the venue extraordinary and a fabulous time was had by all. I am pleased to be on the preferred vendors list at this fine family owned establishment. http://www.franciscangardens.com/index.html

Park Prive' July 8th, 2008

Park Prive' was the location for an ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) educational luncheon. I was thrilled to visit this fine venue as a guest and not a performer! We learned a great deal about marketing via the Internet and I got many great new ideas.

A sumptuous gourmet luncheon was served after the presentation. A great time was had by all who attended.

The Hobbit Restaurant July 6, 2008

The Hobbit was the venue of choice for my mothers 80th birthday. This lovely family owned venue has been in business since 1972. A seven course gourmet meal is offered in several locations within the lovely former private residence.

Nixon Library July 4, 2008

July 4th brought me to the lovely Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. I lived in Yorba Linda while it was built and was among one of the very first vendors to perform there.

This reception was held in the hallway to the Americans Grand Ballroom, a reproduction of the one at the White House. This white gazebo was from the White House wedding of Trisha Nixon.

El Adobe San Juan Capistrano

The restaurant site has been recognized as a California State Historical Landmark. The building was originally two separate structures. The northern section was originally the home of Miguel Yorba Adobe, built in 1797. The southern half housed the Juzgado (court and jails) and was established in 1812.

Now, a unique venue for weddings and special events, the restaurant portion is open on a daily basis. It is my pleasure to be on their preferred vendors list as well.

Tivoli Terrace June 23, 2008

Tivoli Terrace, is a sister venue to Tivoli Too! (located just across the street)and the Hacienda in Santa Ana. A lovely location specializing in gorgeous plants, novelty lighting and wonderful food. This was a smaller group and I played for the reception only. This venue requires live music, (you got to love that!) not recorded and the keyboard did the ceremony on the upstairs deck.
